Data breach policy

MAME Creative Pty Ltd (ABN 89 691 093 802), trading as ViaClara, is subject to the Notifiable Data Breach (NDB) Scheme under Part IIIC of the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).
If a data breach occurs that is likely to result in serious harm to one or more individuals, and we are unable to prevent that harm through remedial action, we will:
1. Notify affected individuals as soon as practicable, and in any event within 30 days of confirming the eligible breach;
2. Simultaneously (or beforehand) notify the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC);
3. Provide affected individuals with a description of the breach, the kinds of information involved, and the steps we recommend they take; and
4. Where direct notification isn't reasonably practicable, publish a notification on this website for a minimum of 12 months.

We take reasonable steps to protect personal information from misuse, interference, loss, and unauthorised access in accordance with APP 11, including encryption in transit and at rest, multi-factor authentication for administrative access, role-based access controls, regular security assessments, and vendor security assessments for third-party providers.
No internet transmission or storage system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security of information transmitted to us.
